TheDiscordList is a public directory of Discord servers. Members use it to discover active communities to join, and owners use it to put their server in front of new people every day.
No — you can browse and join any listed server without one. You only sign in with Discord if you want to list your own server, bump it, upvote servers you like, or keep your recommendation reactions across devices.
Yes. Browsing and listing servers is completely free. Optional Premium tiers give owners extra perks, but they are never required to list, bump, or rank.
Servers are ranked within each category by the bump points they earn during the current week, and the counter resets every Monday — so a server that bumps regularly through the week stays near the top. You can also re-sort any grid by members, online now, upvotes, newest, or a personalised Recommended order.
Bumping is done by a server's own team and drives its weekly category ranking, once every 8 hours. Upvoting is a separate community signal any signed-in member can give once every 12 hours — it powers the Upvotes sort and feeds recommendations, but does not change a server's bump-points ranking.
Premium (Gold, Platinum, Diamond) is an optional paid upgrade for server owners that adds cosmetic and visibility perks. Prices and exact benefits are on the Premium page. Premium never affects safety and is never needed to list or rank.
Yes. Share your referral link, and once the people you refer list a server your referral is reviewed and credited as tokens. You can redeem those tokens for temporary Premium on your own listings.
We keep it minimal — signing in uses your Discord account and we only store what is needed to run the list. The Privacy Policy has the full detail.
