About AI Discord bots

The first thing to check on an AI bot is who pays and what happens when the budget runs out. Most run on a daily message or credit allowance that is shared across everyone in the server, which a handful of curious members can drain by lunchtime. Look for per-user limits and a way to restrict the bot to one channel.

The second is how much it reads. A bot that only answers when mentioned or replied to sees very little; one that responds to everything is ingesting the whole channel, which is worth knowing before you point it at a staff area. Check the retention policy, whether conversations are used for training, and what image generation is filtered for.
