Music Discord Bots

Check which sources a music bot can actually play today, not what its listing claims. This category changes faster than any other on Discord, and a bot that cannot reach the platform your members paste links from is useless no matter how good the queue controls are.

After that it is mostly the free tier. Queue length, saved playlists, 24/7 presence in a voice channel, volume and audio filters are the features that usually cost money. Permissions are simple — Connect and Speak in the voice channels you want it in — but check whether it can join stage channels if you run events, and prefer a bot with a status page over one that disappears for a weekend with no explanation.
