News & Current Events Discord Servers

News Discord servers range from fast headline feeds, where a bot drops wire stories and RSS into a read-only channel, to debate communities where the discussion is the whole point. A third type covers one beat only: elections, a specific conflict, markets, or coverage for a single country or region.

Read the rules before posting. Serious news servers moderate hard, usually asking for sources on claims, keeping politics out of general chat, and separating breaking news from opinion. If you want conversation rather than a feed, look for servers that run scheduled discussion threads and have named moderators.
