About Programming Discord servers

Programming servers split roughly three ways: language and framework communities built around JavaScript, Python, Rust, Go or PHP; help desks where you post a question and someone reads your stack trace; and builder communities where members ship side projects, trade job leads and review each other's pull requests.

What varies most is the answer culture. Some servers expect a formatted code block, a minimal reproduction and an account of what you already tried; others are relaxed and chatty. Check whether help channels are split per language, whether the room assumes professional experience, and whether the jobs channel carries real postings or recruiter spam.
