Best Sid Meier's Civilization Discord Servers

Civ servers mostly exist to solve the multiplayer problem. The larger ones run scheduled games with signup channels, agreed rulesets and ban lists, plus play-by-cloud groups for people who cannot sit through a six-hour session in one go. Others are strategy servers where members post their starts, ask for deity advice and argue about civ tier lists.

Which game a server plays is the first thing to check, since Civ 5, Civ 6 and Civ 7 communities barely overlap and mod collections are version-locked. Modding servers are a separate group again, focused on custom civs, maps and rule changes.
