About Tickets Discord bots
The real decision is channels or threads. A channel per ticket is easy to read but runs into Discord's limit of 50 channels per category and 500 per server, so anything busy needs automatic closing and archiving. Threads sidestep the cap entirely and are the safer default for a support server that gets more than a few tickets a day.
Ask where transcripts live, because most bots host them on their own site and those links die with the service — self-hosted or file transcripts stay yours. A form or modal shown before the ticket opens saves a round of questions, and staff routing by category means the right role gets pinged. The bot needs Manage Channels and Manage Messages, not Administrator.
