Best Roleplay Discord Servers

Roleplay servers vary more than any other category, and joining the wrong kind is the usual reason people bounce. The main axes are format and length: one-liner casual RP in a shared chat, semi-literate paragraph replies, or literate servers that expect several paragraphs in third person and will reject an application for less.

Settings run from original worlds and fandom canon to slice-of-life city, school and apocalypse RPs, plus one-on-one DM roleplay arranged through partner channels. Check three things before applying: whether characters need approval, whether the server is open or gated, and its age and content rules, since some are strictly SFW and others 18+.
